Dennis Folbigge
(Writer and Director)
One of South
African radio's leading actor-writer-directors, responsible for
adapting and directing many serials and series including The
Avengers. He also worked in live theatre, in South African
television and in feature films such as the Oscar-winning Zulu
(1964). Dennis Folbigge died in 1995.

David Gooden
(Producer)
A gifted, talented and well
respected engineer, David quickly branched out and set up his
own facility, Sonovision Studios. He was the man behind hits
like Squad Cars, The Avengers and The Mind of
Tracy Dark. A perfectionist, he demanded the very best from
those who worked for him. David Gooden died of cancer many years
ago.

Tony Jay
(Writer and Director)
Born in London in 1933, Tony Jay was a founder member of the
Royal Shakespeare Company who emigrated to South Africa in 1955.
He was involved in many Springbok Radio productions and later
forged a hugely successful career in America, working with many
of the great directors of the modern era. Tony passed away in
Los Angeles in 2006.

Paul Wright
(Sound Controller)
Paul Wright was one of the sound engineers working at Sonovision
Studios in the 1970s. He worked on many, many programmes,
including several Avengers serials and now co-runs SP
Studios, a one-stop post production service for radio, broadcast
television and corporate productions.
