Brief: This set
was initially planned as a 5-volume set but the discovery of
Girl on the Trapeze caused a rethink and an extra
volume was added. The print was not forthcoming in the end,
but it was academic in any case, as Contender dropped the
VHS range (yet another example of an incomplete release of
The Avengers) to fully concentrate on their fledgling range
of Avengers DVDs. The cassettes would have had liner-notes
by Gareth Humphreys and the episode information above is as
