 The Avengers — Series 4

(1) These seemingly sporadic repeats were inserted during the first run of Series 5 Avengers episodes on Tyne Tees.
(2) As The Murder Market was scheduled twice within a three-month period, it seems likely that the first repeat transmission was pre-empted and replaced with the first run of Something Nasty in the Nursery.
(3) Following the transmission of Who's Who ?? on Wednesday 3rd May 1967, Tyne Tees broke off from showing first run Series 5 Avengers episodes and launched into a rerun of Series 4 episodes.

(4) This transmission appears not to have gone ahead as The Morning After was rescheduled for Saturday 22nd January 1972.

 The New Avengers — Series 1 & 2

Episodes are marked • (1) or •• (2), dependent upon which series they were originally a part of. 

(5) The Last of the Cybernauts...?? was scheduled again on Thursday 16th August 1979, suggesting that the Tuesday 5th June 1979 screening did not go ahead as planned. The August broadcast fell victim to industrial action.
(6) As confirmed by a newspaper report on Friday 10th August 1979, this repeat transmission went ahead, going out just before industrial action at ITV commenced.
(7) Episode scheduled but transmission cancelled due to 11-week ITV network strike which which blanked television screens in 14 of the 15 ITV regions between Friday 10th August and Wednesday 24th October 1979.
(8) As Dead Men Are Dangerous was rescheduled to be shown two weeks after this broadcast it suggests that the Saturday 1st March 1980 transmission did not go ahead as planned.
(9) As Emily was again shown on Wednesday 11th March 1981 it suggests that the Tuesday 8th July 1980 transmission did not go ahead as planned.
(10) Listed in some dailies but not in the local evening newspapers.
(11) Emily was again scheduled to be screened on Sunday 19th July 1981, so it brings this March 1981 into question.
(12) The start of this transmission was 15 minutes later than stated in TV Times magazine (which placed it at 11.30pm). This was due to the extension of the 8.45pm 15-minute evening news broadcast to a half-hour, which therefore finished at 9.15pm rather than the planned 9.00pm. This decision was clearly taken in the days before the transmission as the change was reflected in many of the weekend newspapers.
(13) This would appear to be a second repeat during this run.

It would appear that ITV franchise operators were either offered or only chose to purchase a package of 20 episodes of The New Avengers for this repeat run. The following episodes appear not to have been included in the package: House of Cards, Cat Amongst the Pigeons, Dirtier by the Dozen, Dead Men Are Dangerous, Medium Rare and Obsession.

(15) Emily was again scheduled to be screened on Saturday 4th May 1991, so it brings this April 1991 into question.
(16) Billed as 'Part 1' in the only newspaper to provide a title. This could have been an error on their part, but if accurate it is unclear when or if Part 2 actually screened.
