(1) Death of a Great Dane
was scheduled on this date but not screened due to an
ACTT strike which resulted in almost all regional ITV companies being
off the air from some time on Wednesday 1st July until some time on
Monday 6th July 1964.
(2) This broadcast appeared in the regional Top 10 for the week
ending Sunday 9th August 1964.
(3) It would appear that Teledu Cymru screened only six
Best of The Avengers episodes whilst most other participating
regions aired seven. They scheduled an episode of GS5 on
Saturday 15th August 1964 in place of The Mauritius Penny.

(4) Billed as The Master Minds
in a couple of local newspapers. However, as this episode was
rescheduled and shown on Sunday 7th January 1968 it suggests that the
original repeat transmission did not go ahead. As this leaves the
correct 26 repeat transmissions in this area, it follows that it was
not replaced with another episode of The Avengers.
Researched and compiled by Simon
Coward, Andrew Pixley and Alan Hayes
