Considering the popularity of
The Avengers in France, it seems quite astounding to consider that
the Emma Peel Avengers episodes were not fully aired there until 1991. The
episodes were dubbed into French in two batches, the first in the
1960s and the remainder in 1993 for the EMI home video releases, with
the upshot that in Series 4 in France, Emma Peel has two voices!

(16) The 13ème Rue channel transmitted The Avengers
in an unpredictable fashion, meaning that while the series
