Brief: These
Australian VHS home video cassettes, distributed by Polygram,
were direct ports of the UK Lumiere releases. They were
marketed throughout the Australasian region (Australia, New
Zealand, New Guinea and Pacific islands). The copyright
dates on the reverse of the sleeves of these releases are
misleading as they replicate the UK information, and do not
refer to the year of the Australian ones! |

Brief: This
appears to have been the first release by UGC in Australia
after they bought Lumiere in 1996. Their Australian releases
continued to use Polygram Video as distributor. Despite the
takeover, the product code of this release retained the
LUMxxxx style of the Lumiere releases. |

|
Brief: Although
Lumiere had sold their interest in The Avengers by the time
of this release, Polygram's Emma Peel Collection replicated
the earlier Lumiere title Emma Peel - Six of the Best. This
gives rise to the suggestion that they had licensed these
episodes from Lumiere and UGC allowed the release as long as
it was rebadged with their logos and copyright. |
