Turkish Radio and Television (TRT-1)

The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation was founded on 1st May 1964, but test transmissions did not commence until 31st January 1968. A full national television schedule by the public service broadcaster, which at that time linked the areas in and around Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, started in December 1971. TRT-1 was the only television station in Turkey until 1986 when it added a second channel, TRT-2, to its roster. The first private channel to be opened in Turkey was Star TV in 1989.

Turkish television transmitted The New Avengers in a single run, with Series 2 episodes from screened before all Series 1 transmissions had concluded. We have decided to combine the Series 1 and 2 listings and present the run as aired. Episodes are marked (1) or (2), dependent upon which series they were originally a part of.
