ABN-2
(ABC Sydney)

ABN-2 was a regional variant of the national public service channel ABC. The 'N' in the station code stands for New South Wales. The suffix '2' denoted their channel position on the dial, not that they were the second ABC channel. There were also other variants of ABC in other states.

(1) The Winged Avenger appears not to have been screened in the initial run of episodes in Sydney. It received what at first seems to be a repeat on Monday 14th April 1975 but it is very possible that this marked the episode's debut in this area.

 The New Avengers — Series 1

(2) No episode scheduled on 16th March 1977 as Sydney were transmitting a television special dedicated to the pop star Rod Stewart, Rod the Mod Has Come of Age, between 8.00 and 9.20pm. Melbourne (ABV-2) did not transmit this special (at least not in the same slot) and showed The New Avengers — Three Handed Game instead, as scheduled. Sydney's run of Series 1 episodes was therefore extended by one week compared to Melbourne's to accommodate a screening there for Three Handed Game on 11th May 1977.
