remained on the same webspace since its launch!

The Avengers
Declassified —
The Avengers.TV |

United Kingdom |
 |
After eight months working
behind closed doors to bring the website together, Alan Hayes
launches The Avengers Declassified, a new presence at
TheAvengers.TV. The site opens with 175 pages of material,
including the most comprehensive account of the 1971 stage
adaptation of The Avengers ever published. The site quickly
establishes itself and effectively takes over the baton from
The Avengers Forever since that site is now no longer being
updated. |

David K. Smith dusts off
the 'What's New at TAF' page for the first time in nine months to
announce — as promised, "something truly remarkable" — the launch
of The Avengers Declassified. David applauds the new website,
declaring that, "This is surely a masterwork, not to mention an
astounding surprise, considering Alan had more or less joined me
in 'Avengers semi-retirement.' Who says new things can't
come from 40-year-old TV shows?" |

The Avengers Declassified
opens a new section which deals with the missing stories of Series
1 in depth, starting with Hot Snow. Along with the
accompanying episode guides, this grows into the most detailed
guide to the first year of The Avengers ever presented.
This has since been superseded by a print volume by Declassified
authors Richard McGinlay, Alan Hayes and Alys
Hayes —
Two Against the Underworld. |

The Avengers Declassified
is given exclusive access to publicity materials and interviews
for the forthcoming UK DVD releases from Optimum Home Releasing.
Alan Hayes becomes involved in the production of extra
features for these releases, as does Declassified
contributor Jaz Wiseman, and this association will lead to
many 'first looks' for the site and a regular recommendation of
TheAvengers.TV in the DVD booklets. |
